You will be joining the systems team and working on a fascinating Earth Observation Mission, the payload system engineering manager will have the following responsibilities:
• Manage customer mission/system requirements and devolve these into subsystem requirements
• Lead the technical activities and coordinate the team
• Manage the compliance of the solution to customer requirement with the design authority
• Coordinate and lead internal and external design review (PDR, CDR, TRR, FAR) with all parties including customer, project management, quality management
• Manage interfaces between subsystems
• Critically review inputs from the different teams (systems, electrnics, mechanical/thermal)
• Support the verification strategy for the end to end system validation
• Propose system development strategy (EM, EQM. PFM) to mitigate schedule risks and budget constraint
• Liaise with customers and subcontractors on technical issues
• Mentoring of team members
• Support further bids providing technical insight as well as costing inputs
• Manage costs and schedule for system work packages
Your Experience:
• Systems engineering management / architecture at science payload level
• Worked on ESA projects
• Degree in engineering
• Strong team spirit and you are able to lead a technical team
