Your Tasks:
•Conceptual design, including trade-offs
•First order optical design
•Detailed optical design comprising of aberrations and physical optical properties
•Definition of optical specification including tolerances
•Tolerance analyses
•Straylight analyses
•Support to STOP analyses process (Structural-Thermal-Optical-Performances analyses)
•Support to coating design
•Support to optical systems integration and testing
•Collaboration in a multidisciplinary team e.g. for mechanical, optomechanical, thermal and electro-optics
•Contribute product design configuration maintenance (EBOM)
•Definition and guidance for qualification process of optical components according to applicable standards
Qualifications:
•Degree in Physics or equivalent with relevant experiences in the optical system design and development or similar positions in the area of optical equipment design simulation
•Sound knowledge of Zemax simulation tool
•Knowledge of CodeV is an advantage
•Knowledge of ASAP or FRED
•5 years industry experience (Space experience is an advantage)
•Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
•Strong communication skills and capability of working in international environment
•Problem solving attitude
•Ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English
•Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
•Pronounced Self-motivation and commitment
•Basic knowledge of Straylight analysis
