Our client, a leader in the Space & Satellite industry are recruiting for a Product Assurance Engineer/Manager.
This position is an initial 6 month contract based in Hertfordshire.
The Equipment's Product Assurance Engineer/Manager (EPAE) is a `key’ designated core team project role with excellent exposure to a variety of activities within the Space Industry. The EPAE will liaise with the customer representatives and our clients subcontractors, providing opportunities to grow their network and experience within the space industry.
The EPAE has the authority to resolve all matters pertaining to quality including the right to suspend any activities that appear to jeopardise the quality of the program until a satisfactory resolution has been achieved.
The EPAE will be indirectly responsible for the extended team of QA engineers and specialists in the field of EEE Parts, Materials and Processes, software and configuration control, and report into the project core team the status of their activities.
The successful candidate shall be able to work autonomously within the project team but where necessary has the right to refer any matter to the Head of Equipments Quality for resolution.
• A background in Product Assurance or directly comparable experience
• Knowledge/experience of high quality /complex manufacturing
• Experience of (and ideally a qualification in) electronics, electrical engineering
• Experience of complex assemblies, rare materials, low volume processes
• Must have ability and willingness to travel within the UK.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a basic disclosure certificate prior to commencement of the contract.
