Description of the project work:
- Being part of an international team (Germany, Japan) to set up and improve the internal process to achieve Functional Safety according to ISO 26262 (ASIL B and later ASIL-D) process compliance
- Understand the already existing Gap-Analysis performed inside the company
- Work together with the team to close process gaps by adding missing process descriptions, according templates and guidelines
- On demand support the development team to implement first software components according to the new process/templates - or alternatively create example content for such templates
- Evaluate SW tools needed in development according to ISO26262 demands
Required knowledge, skills and characteristics
- Documented knowledge on ISO26262
- First knowledge of the ISO26262 2nd edition
- Software development experience with embedded RTOS
- Software development experience with C++
- Experience in software development against Functional Safety Requirements
- Experience in creating process description and process templates
- Ability to cooperate with an engineering team in an international environment
- Very good skills in English language
- Self-contained and target-oriented work-style
- Commitment to travel to Japan (expect ~2 times per year)
