Our client, an Aerospace start-up based in Barcelona, Spain are focusing on developing disruptive technologies for small satellite launch vehicles. They are searching for new team members that want to contribute in creating the next generation of launchers.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the work for the launcher propulsion system, by taking a leading role in the validation procedures.

The responsibilities will include, among others:

• External flow modelling
• Combustion processes analysis and modelling
• Internal flow modelling
• Rocket engine cycle design and modelling

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field
• 3+ years experience with CFD softwares
• In-depth understanding of liquid rocket engine working principles
• In-depth knowledge of liquid rocket engine design techniques
• Good knowledge of liquid rocket engine testing hardware
• +2 years CFD experience, preferably using Ansys
• Hands-on experience on liquid rocket engine test hardware
• Good programming skills, e.g. Matlab
• CAD experience, preferably using Siemens NX

Other Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge on aerospike engine concept
• Knowledge in aerodynamics is beneficial
• Background involving aerospace propulsion, electronics, or similar
• Experience in the industry
• Additive manufacturing experience
• Turbomachinery design
• Capable of working in a flexible and open-minded environment
• Start-up mindset
• Creative and with experience in overcoming failure
