AIV Manager - Spain

Our client, a new space company in North West Spain are looking for an AIV Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will be in charge of the coordination of the AIV process of different nanosatellite missions within the System and AIV Engineering Area of the company. This area is responsible for carrying out all the tasks related with the extraction of requirements from the users and the transformation of them into a final product, the design of space systems, its integration and final verification, including all needed tests. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the AIV facilities of the company.

Tasks:

• Coordination of AIV activities of nanosatellite missions.
• Coordination of AIV personnel for the execution of the activities.
• Support to the System Engineering team regarding AIV activities.
• Execution of environmental test campaigns (thermal-vacuum and vibration) and system validation campaigns (TLYF or E2E).
• Maintenance of AIV facilities (clean room, thermal-vacuum chamber, instrumentation, etc.).
• Implementation of ECSS and applicable standards in AIV processes.
• Support commercial team with the elaboration commercial proposals.
• Reporting to managing directors.

Qualification:

• The candidate must have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunication or equivalent engineering degree.
• The applicant must be fluent in English.
• 5 years of experience in space systems verification.
• Experience in project and team management.
• Work experience in clean room and EPA (Electrostatic Protection Area) environments.
• Experience in TVC and vibration testing execution.
• Experience in ECSS standards application.

Desirable:

• Experience in maintenance of clean room and thermal-vacuum chambers.
• The applicant must have good communication skills and must be able to work autonomously in an effective manner; while cooperating in a potentially international and culturally diverse team.
• Moreover, the applicant must have good analytical, organizational and reporting skills; together with a proactive attitude to solve problems individually and an interest in technology development.
