One of our established clients based in Switzerland is looking for a Technical Author to join Technical Publications Authoring department to focus on the production of Aircraft Flight Manuals and associated documentation.

Responsibilities:

- Formatting and presentation of aircraft limitations, normal and emergency procedures, performance, weight and balance and system description with schematic data for use in the aircraft cockpit environment
- Creating draft illustrations/illustration production packages from drawings, photographs, sketches etc. to aid in the final preparation of artwork
- Gathering source information from Manufacturing, engineering and Flight Test Departments
- Liaising with internal certification authorities for approval of documentation

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a technical author writing aircraft technical documentation to the ASD S1000D and iSpec 2200 specifications
- Previous experience in the creation and maintenance of Airplane Flight Manuals and associated documentation including but not limited to Supplements, Check Lists, Quick Reference Handbooks, Weight & Balance
- Knowledge of engineering, production and flight documentation related to aircraft
- Experience with the creation and manipulation of complex MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker and Arbortext Editor documentation
- Working knowledge of the ASD S1000D specification within a Common Source Data Base (CSDB) environment
- Fluent English language skills (C1 level); German not mandated but would be an advantage
