Responsibilities will include:

• Development of mechanical parts and components in close cooperation with the designers
• Advising designers within a project and when preparing offers for new projects
• Independent development of solution approaches and concepts taking into account given and self-developed specifications
• Assumption of calculation responsibility for assemblies or systems
• Creation, testing and documentation of mathematical models of the mechanisms and structures to be considered
• Optimization of mechanical systems in terms of stiffness, strength, stability, thermal and thermoelastic behavior
• Support in the evaluation and introduction of modern CAE tools and procedures
• Development of new methods for calculation where necessary, data preparation or evaluation
• Definition of test criteria and preparation of corresponding data
• Evaluation of test results and correlation of the corresponding models
• Writing technical reports in English

Your profile:

• Completed university degree (aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology, etc.)
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical analysis in aerospace
• Very good knowledge of the analysis tools MSC.Nastran, Altair Hyperworks Suite and ABAQUS
• Experience in programming analysis tools in Python
• Knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink
• Experience with NX, TMG and Scilab is an advantage
• Solution-oriented, proactive and motivated personality
• Independent and conscientious way of working and able to take responsibility for and plan larger work packages
• Very good written and spoken English skills
