Manage and coordinate Design, Analysis and hardware breadboarding
activities of the Opto-Mechanical Systems (with electronics content) in
collaboration with Architect and IVVQ Teams
Stimulate and monitor process improvements in the engineering domain
Lead and drive engineering activities and allocated engineering project
team
Maintain back-up solutions for critical components and sub-systems
Trigger externalization activities for unavailable competences
Ensure analysis activities to confirm technical margins and
manufacturability and testability (DfM, DfT)
Design to cost
Ensure delivery of manufacturing files
Contribute to Engineering plans maintenance
Ensure execution of Internal Design Reviews and the related follow-up.
Degree in engineering or physics, aerospace, electronics and optics or
microtechniques
>7 years relevant experience in product development
Engineering experience in one or more of the above domains
Experience in AIT campaigns for Optomechanical and Optoelectronics
equipment
Systems Engineering thinking and Experience
Leadership and delegation
Motivator
Thoroughness
Good interpersonal and customer handling skills
Ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English;
other languages are of advantage
Aerospace engineering and (informal) team leadership
Ready for un-frequent travel
