Having previously worked within the space or aerospace industry you will be a technically focused Senior Project Engineer. As Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for a team of junior and project engineers who provide technical assessment, analysis and data review for space projects throughout the project lifecycle.

You will provide engineering support and technical inputs to customer funded projects, testing projects, and also internal development projects. You will be somebody who is able to make improvements to the products and processes as well as providing expertise to the customer.

Who you are…

•An experienced technically responsible engineer with experience on customer facing projects in a highly regulated industry.
•You will have experience with test and verification activities and reporting.
•You will have a high level of IT skills for data analysis, modelling, results, presentation, and reporting.
•With will be hands on and able to constructively criticize and review analytical results, technical reports, and documents.
•Ideally you will have had some experience with vibration/shock testing, mechanical design and analysis, magnetic moment analysis, and battery management systems.
•You will have a degree in a STEM subject or equivalent qualification.
•You will have a focus on mentoring and developing others to meet technical requirements, design reviews/ gates/ milestones, and the design qualification process.
•You will have an enthusiasm for problem-solving and delivering solutions.


What you will be doing…

•You will be accountable for the safety of all employees, workers, visitors and hardware.
•You will be accountable for on time and on quality technical solutions delivered directly to the customer.
•You will be responsible for accurate and efficient assessment of design performance and compliance verification.
•You will be responsible for the definition of technical work packages.
•You will be accountable for detailed project design solutions.
•You will be accountable for the accurate analysis and documentation of the project design
•You will be responsible for cost reduction and improvement strategy and implementation projects agreed with the Engineering Manager.
•You will be accountable for the knowledge, understanding and application of the Business Management System (BMS) documentation.
•You will be responsible for the training and development, career progression, and performance of your direct reports.
•You will be accountable/responsible for the delivery of team Items of Interest (IOIs) each week to the Engineering Manager.
