Lead AIT Engineer for a space electronics equipment project. Experienced
with leading all AIT steps at both electronics board level and at electronics
equipment level
Defining test setups for electrical applications, using both commercial test
equipment and/or custom-designed test equipment
Assist for the definition, design, build and testing for custom test
equipment and test electrical harnesses (Ground Support Equipment,
“GSE”)
Writing test plans, test procedures and test reports to ECSS quality
standards
Testing of the performance of the electronics and system to achieve
defined requirements (at both board level and at equipment level)
Handling of requirements verification using DOORS database
Implement automated testing using Python- or Matlab-based software to
interface with custom-designed and commercial test equipment and the
Device Under Test (DUT)
Coordinate with the design team and the Solution Architects / System
Engineers for all aspects of testing
Definition and performing thermal tests (thermal vacuum and/or inert gas
environment thermal tests)
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing to ECSS standards
Participation in mechanical testing (vibration and mechanical shock
testing) for the electronics equipment item
Involvement with Non-conformance activities (failure and root cause
investigations, repairs etc.)
Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent
Work experience in space industry (> 3 years)
Technical skills:
Mandatory:
Handling and testing space electronics hardware equipment to ECSS
standards
Thermal and Mechanical testing experience to ECSS standards
EMC testing to ECSS standards
Board testing at component level using electronic probing test
Company confidential when completed 2
equipment in combination with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers,
dynamic signal analysers etc.
Experience with system (hardware and software) de-bugging,
verification and validation
Experience with controlling and collecting measurements from
standard electronics test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes,
function generators, spectrum analysers etc.)
Advantageous:
Programming skills with: Python and Matlab
Experience with using and developing test software for testing
electronics hardware
Experience with DOORS for requirements management
Experience in vacuum technology and operation of thermal and
vacuum chambers
Social skills:
Team player in a multidisciplinary environment
Flexible and eager to work in a multicultural group
Good command of English, both verbal and written; German would be an
advantage
Minimum 3 years of working experience in industry on similar job description
40 h per week
Frequently working in lab / cleanroom environment
Occasional travel to support test campaigns at external facilities
Occasional travel to meetings and reviews with customer or suppliers
