RAMS Lead Engineer / Solution Architect

Lead, establish and maintain RAMS analyses for optical and
electro-optical systems and maintain the solution throughout the
product life cycles and perform requirements and verification
management related to RAMS in collaboration with SEM and IVVQ
Manager

Support the architecture and requirements definition
o Analysis of customer and stakeholder requirements
o Support the development and verification logic
o Support of interfaces and requirements for external
partners
o Support of product architecture for electro-optic and
mechatronic systems
 Definition, analysis and trade-off of system concepts in
multi-disciplinary teams
o Establish and support RAMS analyses
o Failure detection, isolation and recovery concept
definition and FME(C)A analysis
o Reliability analysis for electro-optical and
mechatronic systems
o Safety&Hazard analyses
o H/W-S/W interaction
o Setting up / flow-down budgets ( reliability,
availability etc. )
o Definition of FDIR concepts
 Risk management based on RAMS critical items
 Establishing key project documentation (e.g. development
plans, design description and justification reports, interface
control documents)
 Verification control throughout the project life cycle
 Documentation of the activities and results of the system
configuration and Support Action Item management

Qualification and Education
Requirements / Niveau de
formation attendu
 10+ years experience in electrical engineering
 Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Physics,
Electronics/Photonics and/or microtechniques

Experience in product development for electro-optic and
mechatronic systems
 Experience in Systems Engineering, architecting and
problem solving is compulsory
 Experience in risk management
 Experience in reliability analysis for different standards
(e.g. MIL-HDBK-217, FIDES) using e.g. Relex/Windchill
reliability (or similar tools) is compulsory
 Knowledge of state-of-the-art Requirements Management
tools (DOORS) is an advantage
 Pronounced self-motivation and commitment in
connection with a strong sense of responsibility and
reliability
 Pronounced communication skills and proven experience
in working in international environment

 Experience in space or aviation is an advantage
 Representing/Leading engineering teams

Readiness for un-frequent travel
