Key Responsibilities:

Execute detailed hardware inspections.

Offer technical commentary to the Spacecraft Production team, drawing upon specialized knowledge.

Assist operators/technicians with the evaluation of incidents and critical decision-making.

Advise and potentially aid the Spacecraft Production team leader on quality considerations.

Assess and validate the technical accuracy of Spacecraft Production work instructions, pinpointing any discrepancies in quality expectations and aiding in rectification.

Perform patrol inspections, spanning document checks, hardware, and Spacecraft Production process application, and including workspace conditions like:

Workshop Cleanliness
Tool Calibration
Training Documentation
Conducting necessary process audits
Implementing AIT process ‘spot checks’
Collaborate with Spacecraft Production operators/team leaders in handling local non-conformities.

Champion Occurrence Reports when necessary, ensuring thorough implementation for conclusive closure. Engage pertinent teams for minor OR analysis.

Confirm the adequate training of technicians per the skill matrix.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

A proactive attitude adaptable to a manufacturing milieu.
A minimum of 2 years' exposure in manufacturing.
Acumen on composite/carbon and electrical tests.
An unwavering commitment to quality enhancement.
Precision in reporting with a keen eye for details.
Tech-savvy with the agility to adopt diverse digital platforms.
An incessant zeal for learning and self-growth.
Embraces feedback for self-refinement.
Exemplifies responsibility and accountability.
Systematic, logical approach to tasks, complemented by robust communication skills.
Periodic flexibility for UK and European travel.
Amenable to occasional shifts, on-call, or off-site duties.

Desirable:
ESA qualification is a significant advantage.
Recognized aerospace industry apprenticeship.
A solid 3 years' stint in aerospace or akin sectors.
GCSEs in science or electronics.
Familiarity with CMM.
Expertise in 3D drawings, especially CATIA.
