YOUR MISSION:

As an Electronic Design Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing, testing, qualifying, and launching modules for a groundbreaking space avionics stack. In collaboration with a compact yet highly impactful team, you'll lead the charge in creating a robust, high-performance avionics system tailored for upcoming space smallsats and landers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Craft electronic system, circuit, and hardware designs that push the boundaries of what's possible.
• Seamlessly navigate schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout.
• Apply your practical hands-on experience to build, modify, and debug electronic hardware.
• Leverage intermediate software development skills (embedded and scripting) to ensure seamless integration.
• Infuse a positive, energetic, and self-driven attitude into every project.
YOUR IMPACT:
As a pivotal member the team, your responsibilities include:
• Conceiving, designing, and implementing a comprehensive testing architecture to validate avionics subsystems (power control, communications, and computer modules).
• Creating an automated testing setup in both hardware and software to support development, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns.
• Collaborating with subsystem design teams to enhance testability of flight modules.
• Assisting in developmental test campaigns, including radiation test coordination.
• Establishing manufacturing and acceptance test processes for the recurring test team's use.
• Maintaining and managing test data to uphold data integrity.

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

• Familiarity with build-for-test design and automated testing principles.
• Previous engagement with testing equipment, especially in the context of digital interfaces.
• Knowledge of GHz RF, high-power (~2kW), and/or high-speed protocols (e.g., ETH, LVDS).
• Exposure to spacecraft electronic standards (ECSS, IPC, ASTM) and software development proficiency (C++, Java).
• Comfort with scripting languages (Python, Lua, Labview) and data management.
• Understanding of radiation effects and testing methodologies (TID & SEE).
• Insights into the space environment, hardware product assurance techniques, and qualification processes.
• Aptitude for crafting and maintaining procedures for MAIT teams.
• Prior usage of Altium or similar ECAD tools.
