Capital International Staffing have partnered with a high-tech space company who are developing and manufacturing state of the art space systems and components. They are busy building high performance spacecraft propulsion systems, avionics, and attitude orbit control systems. They are a world-leader and supplier to space primes and agencies with over 2000 products in space.


The Role:



Our client is seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to join their team to ensure that all deliverables and the processes that support these are in conformance with the customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. In all phases from the preliminary you will be involved with understanding the customer requirements and translating these to the organisation.



Who we are looking for…



An enthusiastic space engineer with a strong inclination towards advancing their career in quality assurance. Ideally you will have an academic background in engineering, operating and thinking at a minimum of BSc level. You will be a big-picture thinker who exudes confidence, pragmatism, and a strong orientation towards processes. Prior experience in the spaceflight industry, especially as a satellite equipment supplier, would be highly advantageous, as it signifies a clear understanding of current technological advancements in spaceflight components and systems (although this is not necessary). Most importantly, you must want to work a varied job in an exciting industry where you will play a big part in the provision of innovative solutions for satellites on a global market.



Day-to-Day:



You will be managing the Product Assurance requirements during design, development, manufacturing and testing.
Performing dependability and safety analyses
Following up deviations, waivers, part approvals, non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions
Identifying and helping solve problems that pose a risk for product quality and safety
Participating in project meetings and audits
Validating suppliers of products and services and where needed, independently performing audits
Providing input for tenders in the area of the quality organisation and quality processes
Providing the Statements of Compliance (SoC) that relate to Product Assurance requirements
Responsible for organising, managing, and closing inspection points and review meetings with the Customer
Responsible for compiling data packages in support of customer reviews
Responsible for product applied materials and processes.
Responsible for configuration management and traceability at product level
Providing input to the Project Lead and/or reports on a monthly basis the status of product
assurance aspects as part of the Project specific Progress Report
