Electronics PCB Layout Engineer

An Electronics Engineer/ Technician with PCB Layout experience is required for a 12 month contract in Germany.

Responsibilities will include:

Creation of PCB layouts suitable for production in accordance with current IPC or ECSS guidelines based on the specifications of the circuit developers.
Creating and revising circuit diagrams in collaboration with the developers.
Coordination of layouts with production.
Creation of production documents (drawings, parts lists, production data, etc.)
Collaboration in the definition and maintenance of component libraries and the associated master data in accordance with internal design guidelines
Review of externally created layouts and cooperation with external service providers for PCB layouts.
Collaboration in assembly tests and the development and setup of test systems.


Qualifications:

Technician specialising in electrical engineering or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, micro systems or comparable training.
Several years of professional experience in the creation of complex PCB layouts with Mentor PADS.
Experience with complex high speed, power, HDI applications or with sensitive analogue signals.
Good oral and written English language skills.
Strong communication skills.


Also advantageous are:

Practical experience in the creation of PCB layouts for the aerospace industry.
Experience with PCB manufacturing processes.
Experience in the development and simulation of electronic circuits.
Experience with Signal Integrity Analysis software (e.g. HyperLynx).
Knowledge of and interest in implementing simple mechanical CAD designs.
Knowledge of a programming language (Python, C/C++, Tcl etc)
