Electrical & Functional AIT Engineer

In this position you shall be responsible for the implementation of electrical and functional integration and test processes within a large space project. Within the project you plan the electrical integration and test campaigns and you establish the relevant documents, plans and procedures. The leading execution of integration and test activities is part of this position as well as the support to System Engineering, Product Assurance and Project Management for project decisions.

Tasks will include:

Independent concept and generation of the electrical integration and functional test procedures at satellite and instrument level in compliance with functional requirements and cost/schedule plans.
Autonomous execution of integration and test activities
Support of the Project and System Engineering Teams throughout all project phases with regard to electrical and functional AIT aspects, be prepared to interface with customers and subcontractors
Interface and harmonize with the teams of related disciplines like AIT system, Mechanics, Optics, Electric, Work preparation and manufacturing
Preparation and implementation of standard AIT boards such as IRR, TRR, PTR and TRB, participation in project reviews
Impact Assessment on problems and non-conformances with the proper documentation and pro-active seeking of support of other experts when necessary
Timely preparation and compilation of required AIT documents, such as AIT plans, procedures and test reports

Your Qualifications
Diploma in electrical engineering or similar
Practical experience as electrical engineer in an industrial environment
Ability to establish and work according to procedures and to assure the necessary documentation
Ability to work in a structured way, high degree of motivation and identification with the group and the respective project
Ability to reach goals also under schedule pressure
Excellent communication skills, strong ability to work in teams also in international environment
Good written and oral English

Optional Skills
Experience within space projects, in particular in Phase C/D, especially in the integration and test of optical instruments for space applications
Experience of working in the ISO 5 clean room environment
Qualified practical apprenticeship
At least two years of experience in SCOS2000/CCS5 environmental
Coding of automatic test scripts (better if TCL/TK) including the synoptic
