Capital International Staffing has partnered with a leading space company at the heart of the British space industry, Harwell Campus in Oxford. We are in search of a self-driven Quality Control Inspector possessing keen attention to detail and independent organisational skills to ensure the maintenance of high-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced QC inspector with a background in the space industry or a related field and knowledge of cleanroom working environments. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with the AIV team, overseeing various aspects of component and assembly spacecraft equipment inspections, as well as the verification and maintenance of associated manufacturing documentation packs.
Additionally, the role encompasses general lab management activities, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and management, along with overseeing COSHH items and consumables.

The Role:

Conduct inspections on incoming hardware.
Conduct in-process Quality Control (QC) inspections.
Verify and validate manufacturing documentation.
Serve as a Calibration Officer, overseeing the maintenance of calibration for all tools, instruments, and equipment.
Act as an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Coordinator, responsible for maintaining ESD test equipment and conducting periodic inspections/tests.
Manage and organise lifting gear, including regular safety checks.
Maintain the Asset register for Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV).
Coordinate scheduling for general cleanroom and workspace activities.
Oversee general lab management tasks.
Manage the COSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) register and materials.
Ensure the maintenance of AIV consumables.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Skills:
Previous experience in a Quality Control (QC) role.
Experience in the space sector, aerospace, or automotive industries.
Component and assembly inspection expertise.
Keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding organisational skills.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.

Desirable Skills:
Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Calibration management proficiency.
Familiarity with working with lifting equipment.
