Salary: €45,000 - €55,000
Location: the Netherlands (near the Belgian border)
Contract type: full-time, onsite

Join a leading company in the space industry, specialising in Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS), Propulsion, Avionics, and Thermal solutions for spacecraft. We are currently seeking a skilled System Engineer (AOCS) to contribute to the development of cutting-edge products for the global space market.

Your Role:

As a System Engineer, you will be the technical lead for the development of Sun Sensor products, ensuring that the overall design, analysis, tests, verifications, and qualifications align seamlessly with customer requirements. Collaborating closely with the Core Team, you will play a pivotal role in interfacing with customers, major subcontractors, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing customer documents and executing design choices.
Supporting project schedules and associated budgets.
Performing functional analysis and system development tasks.
Collaborating with design and engineering departments for well-executed designs.
Creating comprehensive documents for various project reviews.
Providing technical support to the production department and supply chain.
Developing and coordinating test procedures with the Test Department.

Essential Skills:

Work experience in a System and/or Expert Engineering role in a high-tech, multidisciplinary industry.
BSc or MSc level education in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Knowledge of space, AOCS components & systems, and mechanical engineering (structural and thermal).
Proficiency in (technical) English (C2).
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Valued/Desired Skills:

Experience in the spaceflight industry, preferably as a satellite equipment supplier.
Familiarity with ECSS and Space Design Process Flow.
Knowledge of the current technology status and market trends in spaceflight components.
Intermediate proficiency in Dutch (B1).
Driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.
