Position: Product Assurance Engineer
The company: An innovative space engineering company, who takes pride in pushing the boundaries of space exploration. They work collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions for the space sector on a global scale. As a Product Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that deliverables and processes meet the highest standards of quality, conforming to customer, internal, and regulatory requirements.
Your Mission: As a Product Assurance Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Core Team, collaborating with the Project Lead and Product Assurance & System Engineer. Your responsibilities will include managing product assurance requirements throughout the design, development, manufacturing, and testing phases. Dive into dependability and safety analyses, follow up on deviations and corrective actions, and contribute to project meetings and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Product Assurance requirements across project phases
• Perform dependability and safety analyses
• Address deviations, waivers, and non-conformances
• Identify and resolve problems affecting product quality and safety
• Validate suppliers and conduct independent audits when necessary
• Provide input for tenders related to quality organisation and processes
• Compile Statements of Compliance (SoC) for Product Assurance requirements
• Organise and manage inspection points and review meetings with the customer
• Oversee product materials, processes, configuration management, and traceability
Essential Skills:
• Enthusiasm for the space industry, technology, and quality
• Minimum BSc level with an education in Engineering
• Pragmatic, confident, process-oriented, flexible, stress-resistant, big-picture thinking
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, Outlook)
• Proficiency in technical English (C2)
• Driving license and willingness to travel
Strongly Valued/Desired Skills:
• Experience in the spaceflight industry, preferably as a satellite equipment supplier
• Knowledge of the current technology status of spaceflight components and space systems
