Overview

We’ve teamed up with a top space company in Germany to recruit an Avionics Lead with strong experience in 
the space or aerospace sector. This is a contract position based in Bremen, Germany, with a hybrid 
working model- we’re looking for a driven and experienced professional to take on this role.

Tasks in the Project(s):

– Lead the design of the Avionics architecture of the satellite.
– Define and develop the Avionics Architecture of the satellite, covering initial sizing, trade-offs, 
 Interface Budgets and HW performances.
– Manage the avionics subsystems (data handling, telemetry and telecommands, payload data downlink, 
 laser communications terminal, crypto) during detailed design and testing phases as design authority.
– Interface management and control on physical level and across the protocol stack.
– Development risk management and mitigation.
– Test planning and supervision.
– Non-conformance closure.

Qualification:

– A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a compatible 
 qualification.
– 6 years of professional experience in the space or aircraft avionics domain.
– 3 years of professional experience leading technical teams across at least two domains.
– Experience with hardware projects in phase B/C/D in the field of avionics systems.
– Proven capability to deliver project results on time and within budget.
– Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
– Fluency in spoken and written English.
– Fluency in German is desired. Language skills can be improved through company-facilitated training.
