Systems Engineer Manager Constellation

Your Responsibilities

• Technical and organizational management of the systems engineers of the constellation program, initially in Phase B1, to achieve the technical objectives of the mission


• Act as the interface to project management and the customer for all technical questions


• Definition of system requirements (including verification approach), coordinated with the project management team


• Evaluation of ongoing development and technical design, including initiating independent analyses according to the overall system requirements and initiating corrective actions in the event of major deviations


• Definition of a systems engineering process for the organization and workflows between the employees of the technical departments within the company and project management


• Ensuring the exchange of technical information and networking within the project team, within the project team with telecommunications systems, and the functional/engineering departments


• Organization of regular checkpoints during the project, integration of cost and technical budget contributions to determine the overall budgets at the system level


• Responsible for the timely delivery of system inputs/outputs Engineering Teams


• Support project management in risk assessment, cost structure, and overall planning


• Collaboration with the Payload Department in Telecommunications and the other Satellite Engineering Department in satellite design


• Support studies and projects related to the telecommunications systems business


• Support in cost optimization of products for the telecommunications platform

Your Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent qualification


• At least 5 years of experience in space as a technical/systems lead in applications, studies (Phase A/B), and projects (Phase B2/C/D)


• Experience in systems engineering from mission definition (including constellation) and satellite/platform/subsystem design, including the AIV/AIT phase


• Experience in the technical areas of space communication systems, especially telecommunications and satellites


• Strong self-motivation and the ability to personally identify with the objectives


• Strong ability to challenge the technical basis and propose or implement corrective measures


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team


• Excellent communication skills in German and English
