Our client, a leader in the UK Space and Satellite Industry are looking for a Payload RF Engineer to join there team based in Bristol on a permanent basis.
Purpose of the Role:
Joining the systems team and working on a number of fascinating Earth Observation Mission or National UK Mission, the payload RF engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform RF link budget computation and conduct associated trade-offs
- Contribute to RF subsystem architecture, provide inputs for hardware selection (antenna) including the application of S-parameters analysis
- Take into account EMC requirements within the design
- Manage interfaces between subsystems
- Manage customer requirements and devolve these into subsystem requirements
- Support integration and verification strategy for the RF subsystems
- Support bids providing technical insight as well as costing inputs
- Deliver defined tasks to budget & schedule
- Knowledge in data handling is an asset
