Our client, based in Northern Spain are a rising star in the Space/Satellite industry. They are specialists who provide proven high performance payload technology. They are currently looking for a Senior Optical AIV Engineer to join the team.
The Senior Optical AIV Engineer will lead the optical team, mainly focused on AIV and characterisation of the optical payloads.
Tasks:
- Develop and upgrade the optical AIV procedures
- Design the laboratory setups for AIV and optical characterization
- Envision the required improvements for next generation of payloads
- Leadership of the optical team
- Management of ISO5 & ISO6 clean rooms
- Technical management of optics and optical tool suppliers
- Technical documentation and reporting
- Support to Business Development and Project in optical related activities
Requirements:
- A deep passion for technology and thorough work
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Optical Engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of experience in AIV of optical elements in visible range
- Knowledge of Zemax, or/and experience using other similar software to improve/adapt laboratory setups
- Experience working in a strict clean room environment
- International and multidisciplinary work team experience
- Versatility and creativity
- Social skills
- English (negotiation level)
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in AIV of diffraction limited optics
- Experience using Zemax
- Experience in optics design
- Experience in IR optics
- Spanish (negotiation level)
