Our client, based in Northern Spain are a rising star in the Space/Satellite industry. They are specialists who provide proven high performance payload technology. They are currently looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join the team.

The senior FPGA Engineer will design and implement computationally intensive signal-processing algorithms for image processing.

Tasks:
- Develop computationally intensive algorithms for image processing with FPGAs in VHDL using the Xilinx ISE/Vivado software suite
- Trouble shoot with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, function generators, and other lab equipment
- Document test results to describe findings and flag errors and/or anomalies
- Technical documentation and reporting

Requirements:
- A deep passion for technology, software, and hardware development
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of experience implementing computationally intensive algorithms for FPGAs
- Experience with timing-sensitive high-throughput digital signal processing systems and real-time computing systems
- Experience using Xilinx SoC platforms
- International and multidisciplinary work team experience
- Versatility and creativity
- English (negotiation level)

Preferred Requirements:
- Experience implementing computationally intensive signal-processing algorithms in GPUs
- Experience implementing algorithms
- Experience using Linux OS and developing drivers for the FPGA interfaces
- Design, generate schematics, and supervise layout of various FPGA circuit boards
- Knowledge of the main FW/SW validation techniques and tests
- Experience in creating test applications on Host in C/Python/ LabView/Java
