2019 Space Tech Expo Success

This year Capital showcased at Space Tech Expo for the first time!

The Space and Satellite industry is one of our key sectors and we feel it is important to meet both potential clients and candidates face-to-face. Attending the Space Tech Expo was a fantastic way to do this. We enjoyed getting involved and hope this highlights our commitment to what is a fast-growing environment.

Are you looking for your next opportunity in the Space and Satellite sector?

Click the rocket to blast into your next role today!

Capital had a grand total of 7 people in Bremen for the expo, including our videographer; Clare Jones of Bright Light Films. Clare’s presence meant we were able to document our visit to Bremen (see Capital’s summary video of the expo below), as well as interview a number of people at the expo.

Karen Silk, Capital Director, talking about her experience at the Expo

The expo got off to a very good start, with many people visiting our stand to talk to us about opportunities, as well as to take part in our buzz wire competition!

On the Tuesday evening Capital took out a number of engineers  we’ve placed into positions over the years for a delicious meal at the restaurant ViaVia. With a total of 18 people the dinner was quite an event! It was a great opportunity to catch up with them and learn more about the interesting projects they’ve been working on in their jobs.

We used our time in Bremen to interivew some of our contractors to get the perspective of an engineer working abroad, so that we can provide more support to those making the move for the first time. We were also lucky enough to be able to interview Manuel La Rosa Betancourt and Marcus Collier-Wright,  founders of Neutron Star Systems. Capital sponsored Marcus a few years ago during his Masters, it is great to see him doing so well in his career!

Look out for the release of these informative interivews in the coming months….

Pictured above is, Jorg, the winner of a £250 amazon voucher for smashing it in our buzz wire game competition. He took only 8.59 seconds  to complete this mission. Well done, Jorg!

Finding the right technical talent is vital to both our clients’ and our own success and in only two short weeks since the event, it’s looking like we’re going to get lots of new business. We talked to so many great people, made some fantastic connections and are looking forward to the 2020 exhibition already!
